Position Details

We are looking for a BIM Coordinator to join our Vancouver office. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the effective coordination and quality control of BIM across projects. This role assists project teams by helping ensure BIM models are reviewed and maintained in accordance with AME standards, project requirements, and industry best practices, under the guidance of the BIM Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver frontline BIM support by responding to tickets, troubleshooting workflow and software issues, and escalating complex problems to the BIM Manager.
  • Track, document, and close BIM support requests in accordance with established processes to ensure timely and consistent resolution.
  • Conduct routine model health checks and audits to monitor performance, warnings, worksets, coordinates, and overall model integrity.
  • Identify model quality or compliance issues and assist with reviews to ensure alignment with BIM standards, templates, and naming conventions.
  • Support BIM coordination activities, including clash detection, issue tracking, and preparation of coordination reports and meeting documentation.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings to provide support and build a deeper understanding of coordination workflows.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of BIM standards, documentation, and internal guidance materials while actively engaging in ongoing training and skill development.
  • Provide basic modeling assistance and perform additional tasks as assigned by the BIM Manager.

Key Skills

  • Foundational working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and basic BIM workflows. 
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, templates, naming conventions, and documentation practices. 
  • Ability to perform routine model health checks and identify issues for escalation to the BIM Manager. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and checklists. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to ask questions and learn under guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Building Sciences, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; candidates currently enrolled in a related program will also be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience working in a BIM, design support, or technical support role within an architectural, engineering, or construction environment, would be an asset
  • Exposure to Autodesk Revit in a professional or academic setting.

Salary Range:
 $60,000 to $75,000.
