About the Role:

The Teaching and Education EEG Technologist is a contractor role focused on improving EEG quality standards and technologist training across facility sites. This includes hands-on training, quality improvement, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the technologist will use teaching tools to create and deliver a comprehensive "EEG Basics" course tailored for technologists to enhance foundational knowledge and skills.  

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Train EEG technologists (or other designees) in electrode placement (10-20 system), setup equipment, and artifact reduction. 
  • Educate facility staff on recognizing critical EEG patterns, making proper annotations, and escalating findings to physicians. 
  • Develop and teach a structured "EEG Basics" course for technologists, covering foundational principles and practical applications. 
  • Audit and maintain testing quality across partner sites. 
  • Assist with physician montage creation and collaborate with IT for technical troubleshooting. 
  • Lead in-person training sessions, including demonstrations of EEG caps and electrode applications. 

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent; R.EEG Tech certification required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical EEG experience under an EEG-focused neurodiagnostic physician. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Proficiency in multiple EEG software systems preferred. 
  • Strong teaching and presentation skills with experience in creating educational materials or courses. 
  • Reliable high-speed internet familiarity with video conferencing tools. 
  • Customer service excellence 

Travel Requirements (if applicable):  

  • Willingness to travel for local training sessions (10%)
