About the role

The FP&A function at Reverb uses detailed modeling and analytics to generate financial and strategic insights that drive business decisions across the company. Ultimately, our work strengthens Reverb’s alignment of its growth initiatives with its financial goals. This entails providing a financial roll-up to assess overall performance and outlook. We provide a trusted voice and work product across all senior leaders and executives as we determine how Reverb invests in growth opportunities. Our mission is to efficiently tell the story of what is transpiring in the world of Reverb,  to teams, to senior management, and to the community!


This role will be part of the FP&A team and play an integral role in supporting Reverb’s financial and operational performance. You will provide leadership with analytical support, guidance on key business decisions, and financial implications relating to Reverb’s critical initiatives across all departments. This position will work directly with the FP&A Director, ensuring we are optimizing our resources, including opportunity sizing to ensure we are focusing on the most impactful initiatives, developing the company’s top-line forecasts, as well as consolidated reporting and variance analyses. The position requires an experienced financial and strategic minded professional capable of prioritizing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

This is a full-time role that is open to candidates in Chicago, IL, who are willing to come in person to a working space 1-3 times a week.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and own commercial finance partnership across the organization
  • Build new modeling that connects operational activity to financial data focusing on the go-to-market strategy
  • Own initiative sizing and lead product roadmap ROI framework
  • Drive clear decision-making support with Management and present clear risks and opportunities
  • Manage and lead monthly departmental forecasting processes across the Marketing, Business Development, and Operations Teams
  • Leading contributor in preparing strategic analyses for key initiatives in our Annual Operating Plan


Requirements

  • 5+ years in FP&A, Commercial Finance Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, or a similar role. Prior experience in retail, e-commerce or internet/digital B2C business models is a plus
  • Experience in participating in a budget and forecasting process and owning operating expense forecasts within the P&L
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork in a fast-paced environment
  • Project management experience and leading projects to completion
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office or Google Docs (Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides) is required
  • Experience with Looker and NetSuite

The pay range for this role is:
86,000 - 112,000 USD per year(US US-Chi)
