The Individual Giving Manager raises essential funds, and organizational visibility to support Habitat for Humanitys mission, focusing on individual donors. This role will cultivate lasting relationships with major and mid-level donors, develop planned giving opportunities, and manage relations with family foundations. As part of the development team, the Individual Giving Manager collaborates to increase financial contributions, enabling more families in the Fox Cities to achieve stable housing solutions. The position requires expertise in the full cycle of donor engagement, from cultivation to solicitation and stewardship. The Individual Giving Manager should be collaborative, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in alignment with Habitats mission.

Strategic:
- Lead individual giving strategies at all levels, collaborating with the CEO, Director of Development, Resource Development Committee, and key team members as needed.
- Set and achieve individual and planned giving ensuring alignment with organizational and team goals and objectives.
- Support the development of teams and organizations goals and objectives and contribute to development of all fundraising strategies.
- Leverage and support connections and relationships of the CEO, Director of Development, Board, and Development Committee to nurture high-level donor relationships.
- Report on individual and planned giving goals and metrics, identifying obstacles to goals, and proposing solutions to overcome those obstacles.
- Foster a positive and mission-focused work culture.
- Manage a portfolio of up to 150 individual donors and prospects, focusing on both immediate and long-term gifts, including major and planned gifts.
- Develop customized engagement and stewardship plans for donors based on their interests, history, and giving potential.
- Enhance the established legacy giving program and serve as the lead contact for planned giving inquiries.
- Oversee donor recognition societies, including monthly and legacy giving programs, with implementation support from the Development Coordinator.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of case statements, donor proposals, impact reports, and stewardship touchpoints with support from the Development Coordinator and communications team and in adherence with brand guidelines. Partner with Communications to develop content to encourage giving for newsletters, digital, print, and other channels.
- Maintain accurate and timely donor data in Salesforce, adhering to established practices,
- Lead or assist with themed builds, build site ceremonies, engagement or community events, PR events, and fundraisers that increase donor loyalty and long-term support through year-round engagement with support from the development and communications teams.
- Oversee fundraising projects that align with individual giving and planned giving strategies.
- Monitor individual giving budget and report on progress or obstacles in meeting goals.
- Forecast gifts for each budget year and assist in developing the annual fundraising budget.
- Internal Representation:
- Develop strong, lasting relationships with staff, donors, volunteers, and partner families.
- Be open to collaboration and learning across departments.
- Take on additional responsibilities beyond the job description when prioritized to meet Habitats goals and mission.
- Act as a passionate and informed advocate for Habitat in social and professional settings.
- Use excellent people skills to build trusting relationships with board members, volunteers, and other constituents.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Habitats history, programs, key milestones, and contributors.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in fundraising or nonprofit management.
- 5-7 years of experience in individual donor fundraising, with demonstrated success in major gift solicitation and pipeline management, strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to high-level donors.
- Collaborative work style with a commitment to Habitats mission and a passion for building relationships that will support the mission. Ability to make sound judgments and assume responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly skilled in executing and managing multiple projects, establishing priorities, and attending to details in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficiency with donor management software (Salesforce, Raisers Edge, or similar) is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings, and to travel as needed to donor meetings and Habitat sites. Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, current car insurance and a safe driving record.
- Initiative-taking, innovative, and able to work independently within the context of an overall strategy and collaborative team. High level of integrity needed to work with a broad array of backgrounds. Respect for and openness to diverse populations, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Event management or event planning a plus.
