Job Description:
LRHS is looking for a licensed Radiology Technologist – Multi-Modality who delivers a high quality of service, a professional approach & appearance and promotes customer satisfaction by providing courteous, confidential, proficient practices and prompt response as a fully contributing member of the patient care team.
Overview:
- Will be responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine radiographic procedures.
- Demonstrates accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status.
- Interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her specific needs.
- Knowledgeable to make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
- Uses a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
- Addresses physician and nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner.
- The position allows the technologist to work independently and in an ever-changing environment, and may be assigned to work in a variety of locations to assist other radiology modalities and/or clinic services.
- Obtains quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure.
- Implements safety procedures for patients, self, and staff to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Files and maintains all x-ray paperwork.
- Labels images and sleeves correctly.
- Understands and using the medical records system.
- Cleans work area, biological cleanup in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
- Receives, moves, and restocks ordered supplies.
- Attends required meetings and in-services Must abide by all TJC, Federal, ACR., State, etc. guidelines as they impact the specific areas of Diagnostic Imaging
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have current Missouri License to practice as Radiologic Technologist or a Limited Radiologic Technologist
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- The candidate must have a current LSRT and ARRT license
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Annual influenza vaccine is required.
