Pay Range: $26.00 to $ 28.00 per hour
Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Plant Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the biogas facility and its processes. This role involves technical oversight of plant operations, ensuring compliance with state regulations. Reporting to the Supervisor. The Plant Operator works independently and plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Position Responsibilities
- Operate and troubleshooting facility systems.
- Conduct daily checks, walkthroughs, and facility monitoring.
- Perform sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair plant and pump station components.
- Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
- Respond to emergencies and breakdowns on-site and at pump stations.
- Conduct weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotating basis.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety regulations.
- Maintain open communication with the Supervisor regarding plant operations and malfunctions.
- Actively participate in the plant safety program.
- Utilize CMMS software to track work orders and maintenance requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: On-call rotating weekends
