Description:

Job Summary: Responsible for the daily facilitation of service calls and maintenance appointments within National Air & Energy’s Service department.

Essential Functions: 

  1. Perform service and maintenance calls assigned by Dispatcher 
  2. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose unit failures and accurately depict the issue to the office team for quotation and proposal generation
  3. Capability of diagnosing issues associated with any unit 20 tons or less
  4. Possess the capability to replace items such as compressors, motors, metering devices, temperature/humidity controls, and electrical components
  5. Capability to solder and braze in an efficient and safe manner and leaks
  6. Documentation of service call findings through the completion of Service Tickets and the mobile applications available for use
  7. Capable of being on-call approximately every 90 days
  8. Ability to maintain and orderly and organized vehicle to allow for efficient facilitation of repairs
  9. Communication with Customer’s in a professional and courteous manner
  10. Ability to comfortably work at elevated levels in a safe manner 
  11. Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: Trade school or other technical education

Complete kit of tools to accomplish assigned work including the following:

          - All hand tools, pressure gauges, voltage meter, drill/impact driver, tubing cutters, leak detector, and reciprocating saw

Minimum Experience required: 5+ years commercial HVAC installation and Air Balance

Skills Required:

Universal EPA certification

Proficiency with the use of hand and power tools

Capable of reading plans accurately

Effective communication skills.

Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively represent National Air & Energy and communicate with customers and others at varying technical levels.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, grasping, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling and sitting.

Ladder and scissor lift use

Frequent kneeling, squatting and climbing stairs.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

The job is assigned to an indoor and outdoor environment with variable noise levels, uncontrolled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous substances.
