Inspector, Senior

Position Summary: 

This position is skilled in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment for inspecting parts to print specifications to assure the quality excellence of Micro-Precision products.  Must be capable of performing difficult setups and inspection procedures with minimal assistance and routine inspection functions without assistance.   Individuals in this position should set an example and be willing to lead and train others.  Must possess skills necessary to select, operate, and maintain the tools and equipment and be capable of insuring adherence to product specifications.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to perform difficult setups and inspection procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to set up and inspect parts on S.I.P.
• Ability to set-up and inspect parts using CMM and height gage  knowledge 
• Ability to use hardness testing equipment
• Ability to document procedures through the recording, charting and interpreting data for statistical process control purposes
• Do other assignments throughout the plant as required by supervisor

Education 

• High School or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of geometic tolerancing
• Height gage knowledge on set-up and inspecting of parts

Experience 

• Blueprint reading and interpretation

Mandatory Qualification Requirements 

• Must possess the personal tools necessary for proper performance of assignments 
• Must be skilled in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
• Must have the ability to perform all functions as required by the job/position
• Must have physical attributes to perform the job function.
• Must be able to use P.C. for issuing gaging tools
