New Hospice in Panama City seeks enthusiastic, purpose driven Hospice Nurses.


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurses with experience in Oncology, Intensive Care Units (ICU) or Hospice to join our caring team. Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver comprehensive hospice care to patients in their homes, hospice facilities, or healthcare settings

- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team

- Manage symptoms and provide pain relief to ensure patient comfort

- Educate patients and families about disease progression, treatment options, and end-of-life care

- Coordinate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care

- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain detailed medical records

- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families

- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies


Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of Florida

- Proven experience in Oncology, ICU or Hospice nursing

- Strong understanding of hospice and palliative care principles

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules

Requirements:

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions. The employee works in varied residential environments based on assigned caseload.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to see, talk, or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reposition patients; use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and moves up to 50 lbs.
