Janitorial Crew Lead

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Join The Kennedy Collective, a mission-driven nonprofit serving people with disabilities across Connecticut for more than 75 years. As a Janitorial Crew Lead, you’ll supervise a small work crew, ensure contract standards are met, and provide hands-on training to individuals preparing for competitive employment.
This is a working lead position. You’ll supervise and perform cleaning duties alongside your team.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise janitorial workers at assigned sites
- Ensure all contract specifications and quality standards are met
- Perform hands-on cleaning including sweeping, mopping, buffing, carpet care, and floor work
- Train and coach individuals served in maintenance skills
- Complete required documentation and site reports
- Travel to assigned locations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma required
- Experience supervising work crews or working in janitorial/maintenance preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Ability to work independently with strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate commercial cleaning equipment
