SUMMARY:The Clinical Services Program Specialist will assist with groups, the initial evaluation and patient intake interviews and assessments, assessing patient’s presenting problems, formulating diagnoses, and completing treatment plans. This position requires demonstrated knowledge of the disease of addiction and/or mental illness, twelve-step recovery principles, and other evidence-based practices in addiction or mental health treatment. This role will be mobile moving between locations: ATS, CSS, and PHP (Plymouth, Stoughton, Centerville, Devens, and virtual) to help with clinical needs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess patients entering program and complete initial evaluation, formulation, and diagnosis.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and modifying, as necessary, treatment plans and continuing care plans.
- Provide group therapy in any number of modalities, including, but not limited to: psychoeducational, psychotherapeutic, and/or expressive therapy.
- Conduct case management services and prepare discharge summaries as needed.
- Document patient records in accordance with Gosnold standards and regulatory and payer requirements, utilizing electronic formats, as required.
- Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training programs to remain knowledgeable in area(s) of expertise and to meet credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Attend meetings as directed and meet with supervisor to receive supervision and participate in clinical reviews.
- Abide by the professional staff code of ethics and maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature.
