Position Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Seafood Selector / Warehouse Associate to support daily staging, selection, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with fellow selectors and warehouse managers to ensure accurate product handling, clean facilities, and on-time fulfillment.
Schedule:
- Off-season hours: 5:00 AM – 12:00/1:00 PM
- On-season hours: 4:00 AM – 12:00/1:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- 32-40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the warehouse and order staging areas each morning to ensure operations begin efficiently and safely.
- Select, pack, and organize fresh, frozen, and dry goods accurately to fulfill customer orders.
- Verify the accuracy of orders being loaded onto delivery vehicles to ensure quality and completeness.
- Receive incoming deliveries, check in products, and properly store items while maintaining correct stock rotation.
- Conduct daily inventory checks within the fresh seafood cooler to maintain accurate product counts.
- Perform daily quality assurance inspections to ensure all seafood and products meet company standards.
- Restock warehouse inventory throughout the day and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
- Assist with daily, weekly, and end-of-month inventory counts and reconciliation as directed by warehouse management.
- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, administrative teams, and management to support smooth operations and meet production goals.
- Safely perform physical warehouse tasks, including frequent bending and lifting of cases ranging from 1–100 lbs.
- Break down, portion, skin, and fillet whole fish following proper safety, sanitation, and quality standards (role development based on experience and training).
- Provide occasional driving coverage to support operational needs when required.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 Years in similar role
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse or food distribution environment.
- Strong teamwork skills; works well with others and communicates clearly.
- Solid attention to detail and organization for accurate selection and inventory.
- Basic knowledge of seafood handling, including safe breakdown of whole fish.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for coverage driving).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, lift, and move items weighing up to 90 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated/freezer environments as needed.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in seafood selection, warehouse operations, or food service distribution.
- Familiarity with FIFO rotation and basic inventory systems.
Salary Information
$22.00 - $26.00
Hourly Wage
