Schedule: 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm; Every other weekend


SUMMARY:

As a Monitor Tech at Massena Hospital, you’ll play an important role in patient care by keeping a close watch on heart rhythms in the ICU and for telemetry patients. You’ll work closely with the care team, reporting any changes or concerns right away to help keep patients safe. In this role, you’ll also assist with equipment troubleshooting, communicate with Biomed when needed, and provide clear handoffs to the next shift. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor ECG patterns in the Intensive Care Unit

  • Monitor rhythms for telemetry patients

  • Report monitor or Central Information Center malfunctions to the ICU Director and Charge Nurse; coordinate with Biomed as needed

  • Communicate rhythm patterns of all patients to the oncoming shift

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills

  • ECG course to be completed once employed, prior to independent assignment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $18.10 - $25.72

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
