About this position
Order Entry Specialist responsibilities include receiving customer orders, reviewing for entry process, entering and closing all incoming orders. Ultimately, you will work directly with customers to enter their orders into a computer to be processed by the rest of our team. After order is processed you will then be responsible to follow and close the order as it moves through processing.
Order Entry Specialist responsibilities include:
- Recording customer information in order to process orders
- Completing fields such as name, address, account number, item number, price, and any sales or promotions
- Inputting data into a central database to be used to fulfill orders
- Full responsibility of all orders from receipt to closing
- Process orders and distribute responses
- Input orders into database
- Follow order through processing
- Close once order has shipped
- Inform customer of expected delivery date
- Follow up on orders
- Handle complaints about unfulfilled orders
- Check inventory control
- Requirements and skills
- Highly Proficient in Excel
- Strong time management skills
- Knowledge of Outlook
- Proficient with basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate with others well
