POSITION SUMMARY
Safely drives a company vehicle to job sites to deliver, pick-up, or service portable toilets and maintain them according to company standards. Requires a valid drivers' license and medical card.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order.
  • Collect delivery instructions, verifying instructions and routes.
  • Maintain logs of working hours (Hours of Service via Samsara) or of vehicle service or repair status (DVIRs via Samsara), following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to your supervisor.
  • Safely secure cargo for transport.
  • Safely drive company trucks.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
  • Operate equipment, such as truck devices, and/or telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or venders.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.
  • Safely load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all DOT regulations.
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Pumping portable restroom waste using a vacuum pump truck.
  • Pressure washing restroom interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Cleaning all fixtures and restocking toilet paper, urinal blocks, and hand towels.
  • Moving portable restrooms on site, pickup/delivery to and from job sites.
  • Handling, moving, and troubleshooting blockages in 50’ suction hoses.
  • Properly disposing of waste.
  • Complete required paperwork, turning it in daily.
  • Assist as necessary in the repair and assembly of portable toilets.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 24 years of age and able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Valid DOT medical card
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
  • Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
