Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Mount Laurel Office. The Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of surgical scheduling, ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and surgical facilities while maintaining compliance with insurance and healthcare regulations. Job Title: Surgical Scheduling Coordinator

 

Pay Rate: $20-24/hour depending on specialty and experience

 

Hours: 40 hours per week

 

Job Type: Full-time

Surgical Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Provide administrative support to Lead Surgical and Injection Schedulers
  • Start pre-certifications, track, and follow up on insurance pre-authorizations for surgeries and injections
  • Assist providers in obtaining appeal letters and supporting documentation as needed
  • Prepare and maintain surgical and injection patient folders and required documentation
  • Complete pre-procedure health surveys with patients and enter information into the EMR
  • Scan charts and upload external records, imaging, and clearance documentation
  • Follow up with outside facilities to obtain medical clearance and required results
  • Assist with scheduling appointments once all pre-procedure criteria are met
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within the EMR system

Minimum Level of Education or Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in surgical or injection scheduling, pre-certifications, medical coordination, or administrative healthcare role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Experience with insurance authorizations and appeals strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems: Athena and Epic experience preferred.



Salary Information

$20.0 - $24.0 Hourly Wage
