About this position
Description:
The Bistro Server/Barista is responsible for providing excellent guest service by preparing and serving food, beverages, and specialty coffee drinks while ensuring accuracy in cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
- Greet guests warmly and ensure a friendly, welcoming environment.
- Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to standardized recipes.
- Experience and knowledge adhering to local state liquor laws
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Prepare and present food and beverages attractively and consistently.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
- Assist with stocking and restocking food, beverage, and barista supplies.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile payments at the end of each shift.
- Follow all company procedures for handling financial transactions and safeguarding assets.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, barista station, and dining space.
- Bus, clean and reset tables and bar area for next guest.
- Complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities including stocking, cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning service areas.
- Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
- Maintain professionalism with coworkers and guests.?

Requirements:
- Food handler’s permit required
- Sips & Tips Certification required
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking; occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed, push up to 75 pounds as needed.
- Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
