About this position

Job Duties:

The Triage Nurse practices nursing care to patients via the telephone and patient portal by utilizing the nursing process, and exercising independent judgement based on established protocols for medical/health care information in accordance with the standards defined by the Nebraska State Board of Nursing. The basic functions include triage, providing information and education, identifying resources, consultation and referral, and appropriate follow-up activities. The Triage Nurse works closely with all members of the care team to effectively answer all concerns and/or questions. 


Qualifications:

Nursing Associate Degree or Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Nebraska or Compact state; Current CPR/BLS.  Able to provide nursing care for all ages. 2-3 years direct patient care community health, and/or triage experience.


Shift Schedule:

Full-Time; Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:00p (36-hour work week). Position offers remote work options, with opportunities to work onsite in clinic settings or in a hybrid (remote/clinic) schedule, based on operational needs.
