The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization within the transportation and warehousing industry. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, which directly impacts our operational efficiency and decision-making processes. The Staff Accountant will manage various accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet management, to provide a clear financial picture of the company. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven experience in accounting or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation and warehousing industry.                                      
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.                                                           
  • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets and financial statements.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • Support the general ledger maintenance and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
