Description:

This role is part of the opening team for Unravel Coffee, our new breakfast café located inside Gravity Haus Moab, and plays an important role in launching a warm, high-quality morning experience for members and guests. The Haus Experience Specialist supports both kitchen and café operations by preparing food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering a welcoming guest experience. 


This position is primarily scheduled for morning shifts Wednesday-Sunday between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  


Key Responsibilities 


Culinary Support

  • Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
  • Assist with basic cooking, food assembly, and plating during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.
  • Label, date, and properly store food items to ensure freshness and food safety.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Support kitchen opening and closing duties.

Café & Barista Support

  • Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages according to standards.
  • Take guest orders and provide friendly, efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and service areas.
  • Restock supplies, pastries, and grab-and-go items as needed.
  • Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately.

General Operations

  • Assist team members across departments as needed to support smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain a positive, team-first attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of kitchen, café, or food service experience preferred.
  • Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling practices.
  • Barista or coffee experience preferred but not required (willing to train).
  • Ability to multitask and shift between kitchen and guest service responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain)..

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours).
  • Lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Work in hot, cold, and humid environments.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
