Position Summary
The Building Technician Journeyman is responsible for maintaining and repairing convenience store (C-store) facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and compliant with regulations. Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, this role performs a wide range of tasks including low-level electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmithing, drywall, roofing, and asphalt repairs. The technician receives work orders through the Ecotrack Facilities Management platform, responding promptly and prioritizing repairs across multiple sites. This position requires frequent travel to inspect buildings and grounds, address maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with ADA and federal safety standards. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential to keeping facilities in optimal condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain and repair equipment inside of the C-store and any issues in the building
- Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmithing, drywall work to maintain the condition of the C-store
- Receive workorders from the Ecotrack Facilities Management platform and complete required maintenance in a timely manner.
- Perform roof work, repairs
- Asphalt repairs at the parking lot
- Expect to travel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings, and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs.
- Ensure facilities and buildings are in compliance with ADA and other federal guidelines and safety regulations
Education and Work Experience
- Building technician experience
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of apprenticeship programs preferred
- Valid driver’s license – Commercial driver’s license Preferred. (Must have clear driving record 2+ years)

- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Frequent use of hands and arms is required to operate tools, equipment, and perform repairs
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds
- Frequent reaching overhead and working in tight or confined spaces is required
- Ability to work at varying heights, including on ladders, lifts, or rooftops
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity are essential for troubleshooting, repairs, and use of hand/power tools
- Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments including heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, and potential hazards related to maintenance and construction work
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required by company safety policy
- Work hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations based on operational needs
