JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have designed and implemented DevOps practices within an organization to ensure that development and operations teams work together efficiently. 

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Orion180 operations standards, established security/safety rules and requirements for attendance.  The requirements listed below are representative of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully: 

  • Design and implement automated CI/CD Release Pipelines for Azure.
  • Maintain and manage Azure IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Set up and configure environments needed for the SDLC.
  • Automate deployment processes.
  • Manage Azure DevOps credentials and permissions.
  • Monitor system performance, cost, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with development to ensure software releases are delivered on time, meeting quality and security standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to DevOps process and procedures.
  • Continuously improve the DevOps process by identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with solutions architecture team to understand the vision and implement it.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Experience with Azure release pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure maintenance, setting up environments, and other DevOps responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with C#.NET Core and web application development.

While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.  In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects. 

 

The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative.  An employee must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
