About this position
The Junior Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for monitoring, recording, and managing payments and activity related to a commercial loan portfolio. This role ensures timely payment processing, identifies and escalates delinquencies, and maintains accurate loan records in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor scheduled loan payments for a portfolio of loans to ensure timely receipt.
- Reconciliation of payment activity between loan systems and CRM
- Track payment due dates, maturity dates, rate resets, and covenant compliance milestones.
- Investigate and follow up on late or missed payments by coordinating with relationship managers.
- Manage pay-off requests, ACH changes, balance inquiries and payment history as needed by relationship managers.
- Generate regular reports on payment status and delinquency trends.
- Maintain and update loan servicing systems with current loan terms, payment history, and borrower information.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and service-level standards.
- Support audits and examinations by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or financial operations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent reconciliation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Salesforce
