MMC is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks while taking pride in their work. Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and optimal performance of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your expertise in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance will contribute to the smooth operations of our production processes and overall facility maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong mechanical aptitude. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Completes minor and routine painting, plumbing, and carpentry and other related maintenance activities using hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify the root cause and implement effective repairs.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot the problem, and take appropriate action to restore functionality in a timely manner.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. 
  • Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk and pathways as needed.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
  • Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs when needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Assist with the installation and startup of new equipment and machinery.
  • Participate in comprehensive training programs to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
  • Support the establishment and operationalization of new facilities, ensuring all equipment and machinery are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during facility startups to ensure a smooth transition to full production.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional technical certifications or trade school education preferred for a Senior Technician.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on quality and accuracy.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladder and work in confined spaces.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overtime as necessary.
