Fabrication Technician

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Welding / joining & cutting metal and other materials into a wide range of structures.
• Hands on experience on Mig welding, Tig welding & stick/rod welding.
• Follow engineering plans, drawings, and instructions.
• Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thickness
• Performs other related duties in the Maintenance department as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.  

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years’ experience

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
