In this role, youll design and facilitate programs that support physical, mental, and emotional wellnessall while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
What Youll Do
- Plan
and implement group and individual activities tailored to participants
needs.
- Organize
special events and select activities that fit the occasion and population
served.
- Facilitate
engaging, therapeutic experiences that promote health and well-being.
- Collaborate
with other departments to ensure activities align with individual care
goals.
- Document
activities and progress in medical records accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate
cultural and age-appropriate sensitivity in all interactions.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral
sciences, or related field (preferred)
Experience
- For Title 9-CCR contracts, 2 years of experience in a mental health
program serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (required)
- A
bachelors degree in a human services field may substitute for
experience.
- Experience working in a mental health setting (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid drivers license, as the position may require driving company vehicles (preferred)
