Dialysis Registered Nurse
The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for preparation, care, and quality data for the dialysis delivery team, including troubleshooting and adjusting treatments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: successful patient cannulation/access for treatment therapy, primes dialyzer and bloodlines, recording patient’s medical information, completing patient dialysis assessments pre, during, and post treatment, monitoring vital signs, identifying irregularities, and making adjustments to therapy and equipment as per nephrologist orders. Maintains competency and education in sterile techniques and use of specialized equipment. Provides pre-and post-treatment education. Maintains log books, quality checks, and works closely with infection control, unit director/asst. Director, and nephrologist.
Requirements: Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school, licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia, BLS, ACLS, and 1–2 years of acute dialysis experience. Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school and 5 years dialysis experience. Experience with the TABLO dialysis device a plus.
