Wet and Dry Leak Technician
Position Summary:Supports the production process by ensuring the testers are functioning properly, interprets tester data. Reports directly to and assist the area Team Leader in striving to meet company goals through compliance with the company’s Vision, Core Values HTGP Employee Guidebook.
Essential Functions:
Corporate:
- Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures
- Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values
- Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies and procedures
- Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy
- Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
- Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management
EHS:
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
- Consistently meets company safety goals
Technical:
- Understands NCM procedure
- Understands and accomplishes the replacement of oil seals, part o-rings, sealant, C/HSG and valve body covers
- Communicates with final repair technician as needed
- Maintains dunk tanks in both wet leak and dry leak areas
- Capable of working select test line processes if needed
- Applies correct method to the pulling of races
- Operates the HMI panel at both locations
- Demonstrates an active understanding of processes and procedures, standards and methods
- Conducts and supports new Team Member or existing Team Member training
- Maintains repair logs in each location
- Maintains all HTGP tools assigned to work area
- Working knowledge of transmission parts
- Supports any weekend repair work as needed
- Understands and accomplishes re-torque of various bolts
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment including operation and simple trouble shooting
- Maintains 5’S on the test stand and surrounding area
Leadership:
- Back up for Team Leader
- Support leadership direction and decisions
- Takes appropriate initiative to eliminate production obstacles
- Establish positive relationship with Team Members
Education
- High School/GED
- Associates degree (preferred)

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands also at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.

Position Requirements and Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years relevant job related experience required.
- Overtime required as needed.
- Assembly experience is required.

Other Information
- Must be available to rotate to other shifts as needed.
- Tier-1 Automotive (transmission) experience preferred.
- Cross Cultural Experience is preferred
