Responsibilities

  • Construction site field observation
  • Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials such as concrete, soils, aggregates or asphalt in the field.
  • Check compliance with plans and specifications
  • Prepare electronic daily field reports that summarize services provided, and calculation of test results
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and engineering team.

Pay range is dependent on years of experience and certifications obtained.

Salary Information

$20 - $26 Hourly Wage

Requirements

  • Preferred minimum one year of applicable experience in soils, asphalt, or concrete testing (We're willing to train someone with the right aptitude and willingness to learn.)
  • WAQTC certified and/or ACI Field Testing Technician, Grade I or above preferred
  • Nuclear gauge safety training preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent; AA in Civil Engineering Technology preferred
  • Ability to use a computer and/or mobile device to complete daily field reports
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone and maneuver up to 75 lbs. with assistance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a client-service approach
  • Must have a clean driving record.

This position will require working outdoors in various weather conditions, and a willingness to work in excess of 40 hours per week during the busy summer months.
