We are seeking a detail-oriented Machinist to design, build, and maintain the tooling and equipment that supports our production operations. You will fabricate prototypes to prove out designs and provide hands-on technical support to both Engineering and Manufacturing departments.

Essential Job Functions

• Precision Machining: Machine parts to      specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
• Setup & Operation: Adjust and operate      specialized machine tools for precision operations.
• Prototyping: Create and assemble test models      to prove manufacturability; suggest design improvements or alternatives.
• Quality Control: Measure and test completed      units to ensure conformance to specifications and detect defects.
• Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative      maintenance and solve equipment problems to minimize downtime.
• General Support: Produce accessories and      perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant machining experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficient math skills and the ability to read technical drawings or diagrammed instructions.
• Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Welding experience is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Mobility: Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Vision: Requires close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
• Environment: Work takes place in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise.
