Certified Phlebotomist Technician

Portsmouth, VA 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic approved testing procedures, including routine screening tasks.
  • Prepare samples and materials for secure and accurate transport.
  • Conduct testing and analytical procedures in accordance with established organizational protocols.
  • Follow all safety and compliance guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of potentially hazardous materials, and adhere to standard precautions to reduce risk of exposure.
  • Provide required evaluations, documentation, and reporting in alignment with applicable program or organizational guidelines.
  • Complete all mandatory annual training, including (but not limited to) emergency preparedness, safety compliance, harassment prevention, infection control, and hazardous materials awareness.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and concise documentation related to services provided.
  • Use and navigate automated systems and software platforms (such as electronic information or case management systems) to support daily operations.

Requirements

Specialty: Phlebotomist Technician

Certifications: BLS (AHA)

Experience: Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years performing venipunctures and finger-sticks on patients from pediatric to geriatric

ScheduleSunday through Saturday between 0645 and 1900- depending on clinic location.
