About this position
Position Description: The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including maintaining accurate inventory levels, implementing process improvements, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. This role requires strong leadership skills to train and guide warehouse personnel, as well as analytical abilities to optimize inventory processes and forecasting. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Department Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
Oversee and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overages, optimizing stock availability for business needs.
Conduct and supervise regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to identify discrepancies and rectify miscalculations.
Assist and manage support staff in maintaining rolling stock to support operational efficiency.
Lead, train, and mentor warehouse associates on inventory control best practices.
Implement and enforce procedures to enhance accuracy and accountability within the warehouse team.
Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements to increase inventory management accuracy and operational efficiency.
Prepare and deliver weekly inventory status reports to leadership.
Identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations for process optimization to senior management.
Analyze and forecast inventory demand based on business needs, ensuring adequate stock levels.
Solicit bid proposals, evaluate vendors, and make informed sourcing decisions to optimize cost and quality.
Ensure timely preparation of parts and materials for upcoming jobs.
Oversee the organization and fulfillment of next-day orders to meet operational deadlines.
Uphold company policies, including quality, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Maintain a professional and customer-friendly demeanor in all interactions.
Adhere to company attendance and reliability expectations.
Operate in a constant state of alertness to ensure workplace safety.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to contribute to the overall success of the Company.
Qualifications / Experience / Education:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems or other inventory management software.
Understanding of ISO processes and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in inventory management or supply chain preferred.
Valid drivers license.
Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check before employment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
