About this position
Summary: Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products until they are completed and fully functional while working in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs assembly functions, using hand, battery or power tools.
- Perform quality checks during assembly process
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
- Minimize loss of inventory due to errors
- Recognize and alert supervisor of assembly issues and defective parts
- Provide back up for other duties in the warehouse when needed
- Provide on-the-job training for new employees
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Self-management to keep up with weekly routines and requirements
Skills / Trainings / Certifications / Degrees
- Ability to use tools (glue guns, sealers, drills, etc.) safely and efficiently
- Ability to use PC and learn company software system
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
Competencies
- Maintain regular attendance
- Energetic and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers is required
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in non-controlled temperature environment and high humidity.
- Ability to stand on your feet or sit for extended periods depending on task requirements
Education and /or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior assembly experience is a plus
- Valid KY driver’s license
