About this position
The Sonographer is responsible for performing all functions necessary to produce high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations, consistent with credentialing and scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Graduate of an ultrasound program
• Current ARDMS, CCI, or registry eligible and pass registry within 6 months of hire
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• BLS or ACLS (Must obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to travel to other offices as needed
Desired Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience in Cardiology field
• 1 year of experience as a cardiac ultrasound technologist
Essential Functions of the Role:
• Supports patient care by performing ultrasounds, educating the patient on the process and answering any questions they may have
• Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of ultrasound equipment and related imaging procedures
• Accurately acquires imaging measurements in accordance with established department protocols
• Prepares digital preliminary reports and verbally communicates critical findings to the interpreting physician
• Performs routine administrative and clinical duties to support efficient clinic and provider operations.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation
• Exercises sound clinical judgment and technical expertise in the use of sonographic equipment.
• Maintains ultrasound equipment in optimal working condition, ensuring functionality and readiness for immediate use
• Safeguards patient information by maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations

Work Environment
10-hour Day shift Monday to Friday (4-10s), No weekends, No Call
Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
