Are you an engineering student interested in how medical devices are monitored for safety and performance once they reach the market? At VB Spine, our Post-Market Quality Engineering Interns gain hands-on experience supporting complaint investigations, regulatory compliance, and post-market surveillance activities that help ensure our spine technologies consistently meet the highest standards of safety and quality.


This internship is ideal for students who are analytical, detail-oriented, and curious about how real-world product data informs risk management, design improvement, and regulatory decision-making in a regulated medical device environment.



What You’ll Do: 

  • Assist with complaint investigations across a broad portfolio of VB Spine products
  • Analyze incoming post-market data to identify potential product, labeling, manufacturing, use, or design-related issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Engineering to support complaint resolution and documentation
  • Contribute to complaint trend analysis and risk assessments
  • Support compliance with FDA and international post-market regulatory requirements
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Post-Market Surveillance team across ongoing initiatives
  • Clearly document findings, analyses, and outcomes in alignment with quality system and regulatory requirements


What You Bring: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based sponsorship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability within changing priorities
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while working collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor

Compensation: 
This is a paid internship position with an hourly rate of $30 per hour.

This role is based in Leesburg, VA or Allendale, NJ. While non-local candidates may apply, relocation and housing assistance are not provided, and candidates are responsible for all related expenses.


VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers factors such as experience level, skill set, and market conditions.
