Chandler Industries is expanding, and we’re looking for skilled CNC Machinists to grow with us at our state-of-the-art facility in Blaine, Minnesota location. 


We are seeking an experienced Team Lead / Skilled CNC Machinist to play a hands-on leadership role within our manufacturing operations. This position supports the Production/Operations Manager by providing technical expertise, mentoring team members, and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are consistently met.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform complex CNC set-ups, prove out first-article programs, and run multiple machines simultaneously (up to 4+1 axis).
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize programs, and ensure parts meet tight tolerance and quality requirements.
  • Take ownership of your work area, acting independently while coordinating closely with engineering, quality, and maintenance.
  • Conduct in-process inspections, make offsets and adjustments, and interpret inspection data to drive corrections.
  • Train and mentor machinists, providing feedback and supporting training and development initiatives.
  • Support NPI activities, Lean initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA, PPE, and 5S standards.



Requirements

 What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of CNC machining experience with advanced set-up and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to operate up to 4+1 axis CNC machines and run multiple machines.
  • Strong blueprint reading, GD&T knowledge, and advanced inspection skills (including CMM).
  • Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and exotic materials.
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
  • Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable serving as a technical liaison and team leader.
