The Role

As our Event Coordinator, you will be the organizational backbone of Schneps Connects. You will own the end-to-end logistics of our events, maintain and grow our digital presence, and serve as a key point of contact for our valued members. This is a dynamic, highly visible role that sits at the intersection of event planning, member relations, and digital communications — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves bringing people together. This role will have support and work with under the Schneps Media events division reporting to the EVP of Events.



What You'll Do

Event Planning & Logistics

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all Schneps Connects breakfast events from concept through completion, including keynote speakers, partnerships, member communications and marketing 

  • Source and manage relationships with venues, vendors, caterers, and audio/visual teams

  • Communicate with business leaders and organizations to entice them to learn more about Schneps Connects by attending one of our events

  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and run-of-show documents

  • Coordinate speaker logistics, including outreach, scheduling, and on-site needs

  • Oversee event setup, on-site management, and post-event breakdown

  • Gather post-event feedback and provide recaps and reporting to leadership

Member Relations & Communications

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Schneps Connects members, responding to inquiries and ensuring an exceptional member experience at every touchpoint

  • Manage event invitations, RSVPs, and attendee communications via email and other platforms

  • Assist in onboarding new members and maintaining accurate member records and databases

  • Foster strong relationships with members to encourage engagement, retention, and referrals

Website & Digital Presence

  • Maintain and update the Schneps Connects website with current event listings, member spotlights, news, and relevant content

  • Coordinate with the Schneps Media digital team on social media promotion, email campaigns, and digital marketing efforts for events

  • Monitor website performance and suggest improvements to enhance the user experience for members and prospective members

  • Work with our editors, reporters and photographers to coordinate event and membership coverage



What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination, event planning, or a related field

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — you're comfortable corresponding with C-suite executives and business owners

  • Proficiency with event management tools, CRM platforms, email marketing software, and basic website content management systems (WordPress or similar)

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset — you anticipate problems before they arise and handle them with grace

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, as events require

  • Experience working with or supporting a membership-based organization is a plus

  • Familiarity with the New York business community is a plus

  • A genuine passion for connecting people and creating memorable experiences



What We Offer

  • $75,000 - $85,000 annual salary, negotiable for the right candidate and one willing to do new membership sales; Medical, Dental, Optical Insurance
