We are a local produce wholesale distributor that has been in business for over 100 years and looking to add a Class A driver to our team!
What will a Class A driver do?
The class A driver will make deliveries through the greater Boston and New England area. No overnights - return home daily!
Main Responsibilities
- Work and ensure all deliveries are of a high standard.
- Take precautions to ensure products are delivered damage-free.
- Adhere to policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety.
- Complete the pre/post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle meets all necessary safety and compliance requirements.
- Follow all traffic signs/laws and maintain posted speed limits.
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs (frequently) on a daily basis.
- Ability to climb in and out of the tractor multiple times a day.
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
- Must have a current Class A license
- No more than three (3) points on your license
- A positive, can-do attitude!
- Ability to work as a team and help motivate others
- Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, in all weather conditions.
- Excellent attendance history work work ethic that matches
- Experience with pre/post trip inspections, a knowledge of FMCSA.
- Experience unloading boxes using a hand truck or electric pallet jack.
- Ability to work six (6) days a week, including Saturdays
