Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher for our Pre-K classroom. This individual will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 4 years and young 5 years old. The Lead Teacher will develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with our Christian values, foster a love for learning, and ensure each child's growth in all developmental areas.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute a developmentally appropriate curriculum incorporating spiritual, academic, and social-emotional learning.

  • Foster a Christ-centered atmosphere, incorporating biblical teachings and values into daily activities.

  • Create engaging lesson plans to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

  • Use creative, hands-on teaching methods to encourage exploration and discovery.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and addressing developmental needs.

  • Collaborate with the assistant teacher to provide an engaging learning environment.

  • Collaborate with staff to create a weekly chapel experience for students.

  • Organize and participate in classroom activities, including field trips, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

  • Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and administration.

  • Uphold the mission and values of Dunwoody Christian School in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.

  • Active participation in a Christian church and alignment with Dunwoody Christian School's statement of faith.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


Salary Information

$35000.0 - $40000.0 Annual Salary
