Who We're Looking For:
EmpiRx Health is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Analyst.
In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing member distributions, preparing and reviewing tax notices, handling monthly tax entries in Oracle, preparing workpapers, reconciling tax accounts, and reviewing and preparing quarterly tax estimates. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Tax Analyst, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities; here are a few key responsibilities:
- Member Distributions: Manage and oversee the distribution of member earnings, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Tax Notices: Prepare and review tax notices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Monthly Tax Entries: Handle monthly tax entries in Oracle, ensuring accurate and timely recording of tax-related transactions.
- Workpapers Preparation: Prepare detailed workpapers to support tax filings and financial statements.
- Tax Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile tax accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Quarterly Tax Estimates: Review and prepare quarterly tax estimates, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by ensuring all tax-related entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors, to provide necessary documentation and support during audits related to tax.
- Tax Return Preparation: Work closely with the Deloitte tax team responsible for preparing federal and state tax returns, providing necessary information and support.
- Compliance: Ensure all tax activities comply with current tax laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of tax reports and presentations for management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance.
What You Need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on member distributions, tax notices, and tax entries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle and other accounting software. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and accounting principles.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
