Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties. Assist Accountants and other financial professionals with creating and editing financial documents. Complete the bookkeeping processes of the company. Evaluate and review the monthly transactions and reconcile the balance sheet accounts. Support the Finance Director in the completion of accounting activities, financial audits and compliance processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze financial figures on a day-to-day
- Implement best practices and procedures in the accounting department as instructed by the Director of Accounting & Finance
- Complete the reconciliation and analyses of various records
- Run, analyze and prepare management information reports
- Create, monitor and post accruals and journal entries
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
- Perform fixed assets inventory for the PR location
- Submit Quarterly reports with the PR agencies
- Complete Bank Reconciliation for the US & PR accounts
- Monitor and reconcile the Prepaid Accounts
- Reconcile the Intercompany Balances on a monthly basis
- Complete AMEX allocation, as needed
- Support the Payroll Process by Auditing Timecards and reviewing the payroll changes
- Book the payroll entry in the PR books
- Complete the Bonus Worksheet on a monthly basis
- Complete Depreciation entry for all entities
- Complete the 10% withholding deposits in SURI
- Calculate and post Intercompany Allocation entry
- Complete a Fixed Assets roll forward
- Support Financial Audits for all the entities
- Create the 480 tax forms on an annual basis
- Other duties assigned

Education & Experience:
- Must be pursuing or have a degree in accounting or business-related field
- 1+ years experience in accounting or any related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with CRM system
