Our client, a prestigious California-based law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join their Toxic Tort practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney eager to develop their skills within a high-performing team handling complex litigation matters, including asbestos, toxic tort, and product liability cases. The role allows for remote work, with in-person court appearances as required. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle toxic tort litigation matters, including asbestos and product liability cases.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery, manage depositions, and prepare for motion practice and court hearings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and conduct legal research.
  • Participate in client meetings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
  • Stay current on legal developments in toxic tort and related areas of law.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case management and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience (Toxic Tort or related areas preferred).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters and work collaboratively.
  • Exposure to asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability litigation is a plus.
  • Willingness to appear in court as needed.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: $110,000 to $170,000, depending on experience.
