About this position
Description:
The Assistant Maintenance Technician works directly with the maintenance team to ensure the property is operating efficiently and all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all groundskeeping, general repairs, carpentry and painting requirements of the property.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all assigned requests are completed successfully and promptly
- Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by completing a range of tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, general repairs, and other activities as needed
- Maintain grounds, amenity areas and breezeways
- Work at a fast pace without impacting quality, ensuring enough time for other maintenance personnel to complete their functions in the make-ready process
- Maintain the accuracy of the work order system, logging all actions and supplies needed to complete each request
- Develop a rapport with residents by providing superior customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing)
- Dress in a professional manner according to Jones Street uniform policy
- At least one year of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance
- Excellent time management skills, can easily shift priorities and timelines
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
