We are currently recruiting a Legal Manager to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working towardcommon goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility andclear accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- General legal support for all aspects of Atlantica’s Mexican businesses, particularly by providing regulatory, compliance, and general commercial advice and support (including contracts) across a wide range of areas, such as business development, dispute resolution, and industry-specific regulations.
- Management of shareholders’ meetings, boards of directors, and powers of attorney, as well as oversight of corporate records and, in general, day-to-day supervision of Atlantica’s Mexican subsidiaries and legal matters with Atlantica’s clients.
- Conduct contract negotiations, due diligence processes, and draft contracts related to Atlantica’s businesses in Mexico (including power purchase agreements, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, NDAs, purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, lease agreements, etc.).
- Collaborate effectively with international colleagues, both in the Americas and abroad, to provide globally aligned legal advice that appropriately balances local needs and global perspectives.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and iterating legal and compliance department processes to keep pace with our growth, with special focus on local issues.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (admission to the bar will be viewed positively).
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken), C1 level required.
Experience and Technical Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of at least 5 years working in the legal department of a company in the energy sector. Experience in a law firm and/or governmental agencies will be viewed very positively.
- Direct and relevant experience in the energy sector
- Experience in energy companies, project development, and construction is desirable
