About StrongMind
StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.
We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people
The Team You Will Join
You’ll be part of the Product & Engineering Operations ecosystem, working closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, Customer Success, and Partnerships. This group ensures that StrongMind’s platform evolves safely, predictably, and in alignment with the needs of schools, districts, and educators nationwide.
The team culture is collaborative, detail-oriented, and mission-driven. You’ll have opportunities to influence release practices, improve cross-functional readiness, and strengthen how new features reach classrooms—while partnering across StrongMind and our school communities.
The Difference You Will Make
In this role, your work will directly impact schools, educators, and internal teams by ensuring software releases are coordinated, clearly communicated, and introduced without disrupting instruction.
You’ll help scale StrongMind’s release maturity—bringing structure to feature rollouts, strengthening stakeholder readiness, and enabling safe, staged launches across our K–12 customer base. Your work will make change predictable, transparent, and educator-friendly
A Typical Day Looks Like
While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:
- Coordinate release scope, readiness, and dependencies across Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and Customer Success
- Manage feature-flagged rollouts by school, district, or cohort to support safe staged deployments
- Run release rituals such as planning sessions, go/no-go reviews, and post-release retrospectives
- Communicate release timelines, impacts, and adoption guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Create release notes, launch communications, and enablement resources for educators and administrators
- Monitor early rollout signals and coordinate responses to risks, incidents, or feedback
This role balances cross-functional collaboration, operational execution, and strategic process improvement and is well-suited for someone who enjoys orchestrating complexity, improving systems, and enabling others to succeed
Your Expertise Includes
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- 4–8+ years of experience in release management, technical program management, product operations, or similar roles in a SaaS environment
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills and the ability to run release processes end-to-end
- Experience using Jira or similar tools to manage release scope, dependencies, timelines, and readiness
- Hands-on experience with feature flags, staged rollouts, and controlled launches across customer segments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical change into educator-friendly language
- Familiarity with Agile/SDLC practices and SaaS release workflows
- Comfort working with school/district stakeholders and customer-facing teams
- Alignment with StrongMind’s core values: Kindness, Accountability, Collaboration, Innovation, and Grit
Bonus points if you also have:
- K–12 edtech or school district experience
- Training or enablement content creation experience (videos, webinars, guides)
- Familiarity with SIS/LMS integrations and implementation patterns
- Change management or customer enablement background
