General Job Description:
Responsible for the direction and operations of the restaurant both front of the house and back of the house. Ensuring each Reata guest has a unique dining experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
1) Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reinforcing policies and procedures.
2) Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and supporting changes.
3) Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission.
4) Maximizes bar profitability by ensuring portion control; monitoring accuracy of charges.
5) Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
6) Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service.
7) Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
