We are currently seeking an experienced Lien Negotiator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in lien resolution who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about helping maximize client settlements. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing negotiations with medical providers, insurance carriers, and other lienholders to ensure favorable outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and itemize client medical bills and records
- Negotiate reductions on medical provider, attorney fee, subrogation, and child support liens
- Draft and submit lien reduction letters to Medi-Cal, Medicare, Kaiser (via The Rawlings Company), and other relevant entities
- Maintain accurate lien status updates in the firm’s case management system
- Communicate with clients and medical providers regarding lien status and settlement updates
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years direct lien negotiation experience required
- Familiarity with California lien laws and common lienholders
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Compensation: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
