Position Summary:

The Funding & Capacity team seeks a highly motivated intern to support the F&C team while getting exposure to all areas of the department. The intern will go through a rotation of shadowing members of the team in their day-to-day activities and participate in department meetings to provide exposure to Funding & Capacity functions. Concurrently, the intern will be given tasks that will assist the team while giving them insight in to the roles and responsibilities within the Funding & Capacity department.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior team members with client needs and inquiries
  • Track financial market interest rates such as Fed Funds, Repo, Money Market Funds, FHLB as well as other FDIC program providers
  • Perform maintenance and verification of internal rate indexes based upon external benchmarks such as Fed Funds, SOFR & Treasuries rates
  • Monitor the liquidity and capacity of the R&T program balances to help ensure sufficient levels are met in each program
  • Prepare & distribute requested client reporting in a timely manner
  • Build an understanding of the various interconnected components of the FDIC products
  • Assist with the daily tasks of the team and ad-hoc projects to support F&C initiatives


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance or related fields with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to work both independently and well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.  Specific knowledge working in Excel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the banking industry and financial markets

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid a range of $20-22 per hour. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid internship based in Midtown Manhattan. The R&T Internship Program runs from approximately June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
