Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, this position is responsible for the assembly of doors and gate systems for elevator models. The role includes electrical and mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring all components meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical components and door/gate systems according to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other appropriate fasteners.
- Install and connect associated control wiring for door and gate assemblies.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality checks to ensure assemblies meet safety and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical assemblies as needed, addressing issues or defects promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Assist in the development of new assembly techniques and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Mindset, Skills & Education
- Energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- High School Diploma and one to three months of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures in English.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Comfortable using hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting

- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Required to walk throughout the facility.
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Assistance is available for weights exceeding individual lifting capability.
