Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is critical to providing a positive start to our guests’ day by delivering exceptional service during breakfast hours. The ideal candidate will have strong English communication skills, a solid understanding of food handling and presentation, and a passion for delivering excellent guest service. As our property offers breakfast only, this role is solely focused on the morning service and guest satisfaction during that period.


Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Service & Communication

  • Greet all guests warmly with a smile and a friendly attitude.

  • Respond to guest requests, concerns, or questions in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Provide information about breakfast items, dietary concerns, and general hotel inquiries.

  • Encourage feedback and communicate it to the appropriate departments.

2. Breakfast Setup & Service

  • Prepare the breakfast area before service begins, including setting up buffet items, utensils, beverages, and condiments.

  • Ensure all food items are fresh, properly labeled, and replenished as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, well-organized and inviting breakfast space throughout the service period.

  • Keep food presentation attractive and aligned with Marriott brand standards.

3. Food Handling & Hygiene

  • Follow all local, state, and brand health regulations for food safety and cleanliness.

  • Handle food using proper sanitation techniques, including use of gloves and appropriate storage.

  • Monitor temperatures of food and beverages and log readings as required.

  • Immediately report any food safety concerns or equipment issues to management.

4. Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Clear and sanitize tables, breakfast stations, and work surfaces regularly.

  • Dispose of trash and waste according to protocols.

  • Restock supplies such as cups, plates, napkins, and condiments during and after service.

  • Perform closing duties including breakdown of the buffet and cleaning of kitchen/prep areas.

5. Coordination & Team Support

  • Communicate any inventory shortages to management for reordering.

  • Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries and storing supplies.

  • Cooperate with housekeeping and front desk to ensure seamless guest experience.

  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as scheduled.


Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and understood clearly).

  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Basic knowledge of breakfast food items, ingredients, and food safety.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in the early morning.

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior experience in a similar role (hotel, café, or customer service environment) is a plus.


Working Conditions

  • Shift Timing: Early mornings (as early as 5:00 AM), including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and handle basic kitchen equipment.

  • Fast-paced and guest-facing environment requiring attentiveness and a positive attitude.

Salary Information

$15.0 - $18.0 Hourly Wage
